Some people may be bored in the house during this COVID-19 quarantine, but Young M.A has used the opportunity to craft a project. The New York rapper recently announced that she would be releasing her Red Flu EP, and right on time, Young M.A delivered. The seven-track record is featureless as the 28-year-old emcee stands alone, and Red Flu is the first body of work we’ve received since she shared her debut album Herstory in the Making last year.

Red Flu is a project that only took Young M.A a few weeks to put together. “I started in April and finished in a matter of two or three weeks. It’s been a really quick turnaround,” she told Complex. “There’s been a lot of frustration with this quarantine. I had a lot of time on my hands, so I was able to focus on writing music, listening to beats, and having time to myself. It’s just something to give to my fans.
