The University of Jos Senate at its 4th Special meeting for the 2019/2020 academic session held on the 11th January 2021 delibrated on the availability of a solution for the prevention of the spread of Coronavirus
The senate was informed that the University of Jos Africa Centre for Excellence in Phytomedicine has produced a home made herbal tea for the prevention of corona virus and its sold at a very affordable price to all

Although the product has not been given full approval from the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) a spokesman of the University of Jos Africa Centre for Excellence in Phytomedicine stated that the research needed by NAFDAC for the approval has already been done
