Inter Milan continued their winning start to the Serie A season with a 2-1 victory over Atalanta on Saturday. Hakan Calhanoglu gave Inter the lead from the penalty spot in the 40th minute after Denzel Dumfries was fouled in the box.
Lautaro Martinez doubled Inter’s advantage in the 52nd minute with a clinical finish from inside the area. Atalanta pulled a goal back in the 61st minute through Gianluca Scamacca, but Inter held on for the win to go five points clear at the top of the table.
