Dwight McNeil scored a superb solo goal to help Burnley beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-0 at Turf Moor.
In Sean Dyche’s 300th match as manager, Burnley took a second-minute lead. A quick free-kick freed Chris Wood and his shot hit a post and went in off Conor Coady.
Wolves improved after the break and James Tarkowski and Ben Mee were forced to block close-range efforts from Diogo Jota.
Burnley secured the win on 77 minutes, when McNeil powered forward and fired into the bottom corner.
Burnley are 17th on 33 points, level with Southampton and Brighton & Hove Albion and five above the relegation zone.
Wolves are seventh with 44 points.
